What A Tiring Day!

Last weekend I went to Jakel for our kain reception hunting. Budget : Strictly RM 700.00. At first we decide our wedding theme is “apple green and white”. But, bulan thought black is cool, i mean apple green and white is a great colour and i love it, but black.. on your wedding day? No way okay my dearest! Hurm,by the way i don’t want to argue about the colour, what important most is that by the end of the day we got married eventually.
Anyways, the plan is for my dress, the satin is soft green and the lace is apple green. And for bulan we thought to make it the other way around. Soft green satin and black/gold sampin (or samping, how to pronunce it actually, eh?). Fair right? He got his so-called cool colour- BLACK finally!
I never thought it would be sooo much harder than it seemed to find an apple green lace in Jakel. I eliminated all the stupid combination colours like apple green and orange or apple green and yellow, so i am left with only two laces in the whole level. One with beading, one without beading. Unfortunately, the one with beading, the beads are also in the same colour, which made it so dull. I had one option left, without the beads. Kene tempah jugak. Tempah beads nanti lagi mahal than buying kain yg dah ade beads. Sigh..
Then the salesgirl ajak naik one floor up where they had more apple green lace, wait.. i miss one word, rephrase again, where they had more apple green “french” lace that costs me RM200 per meter (the cheapest and not so nice) and i had to buy 4 metres at least sbb french lace bidang dia smaller than normal lace, lovers, take this in mind. So, if betul2 in a budget, better think twice.
So after a lot of thinking, i bought the normal lace without beading. The cost? A grand total of RM 300.00 (lepas bulan tawar-tawar dengan salesgirl tu). What we’ve got:
Apple green lace 2 metres
Satin for me 4 metres
Satin for bulan 5.5 metres.

Then, we went for baju melayu, sampin, and baju kurung hunting, also take this in mind, you might want to find baju melayu, sampin, and baju kurung somewhere else. Jakel didn’t have much options. So we went and surveyed all over Jalan TAR. We went to Bak Boutique for baju melayu bulan that costs us RM 200.00 and my baju kurung that costs RM 150.00. Then, we found this kedai that sells Samping Terengganu in black and golden, really gorgeous that costs us RM380. Alamak, lari budget. After a brief discussion we decide to buy sampin in Kelantan since the sampin there is much more cheaper. So, the grand total is RM 650.00. Yeay~ it’s still within the budget limit! Perancang ekonomi yang bijak! hehehe. Guess what? After that, we splurge baki budget tu for a really great movie at 1 Utama. Transformers: The Revenge of The Fallen. Hehehe.
